Naomi Wolf
Feminist, political activist and American author Wolf will be featured Saturday, April 19 at 7:30 p.m. at the Bing Crosby Theater during the 10th Annual Get Lit!.
She will discuss events of the last six years, analyzing similarities of the 20th century's worst dictatorships.
Wolf attended Yale University and was a Rhodes Scholar at New College, Oxford. She spent time as a consultant to former Vice President Al Gore during his bid for president, acting as an adviser to target female voters.
Wolf is the author of the best-selling 1992 feminist novel "The Beauty Myth: How Images of Beauty Are Used Against Women," "Soul Mates: The Quest Love Trilogy" and "Fire With Fire: The New Female Power and How to Use It," among others.
In her latest novel, "The End of America: Letter of Warning to a Young Patriot," she discusses how the U.S. is on the road to becoming a fascist nation, describing 10 steps to end democracy, arguing how the Bush Administration has begun to take these steps and suggests a call to return to America's founding ideals.
